CoolSculpting is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses controlled cooling to freeze fat cells in specific body areas. An FDA-approved treatment, CoolSculpting reduces stubborn fat in the abdomen, thighs, love handles, the back, and under the chin.
How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting works with a process called “cryolipolysis.” During the procedure, a special device is used to cool the targeted body area to a temperature that causes fat cells to freeze and die without causing harm to the skin and surrounding tissue. A vacuum feature suctions the skin and underlying fat tissue upward into an applicator, which then cools the area to a temperature that is low enough to freeze the fat cells. Over the next few weeks, the body naturally sheds the dead fat cells through the natural metabolic processes. Once the fat cells are shed by the body, they are gone forever, leaving the patient to enjoy a slimmer, more sculpted physique.
